Russia and Germany to widen the interuniversity dialog
At 05 of February 2010, President of Russian Rectors' Union (RRU), Rector of Moscow Lomonosov State University, academician Victor A. Sadovnichiy and Vice-President of German Rector's Conference (GRC), rector of Erlangen University, Professor Karl-Dieter Grueske agreed to prepare an agreement on cooperation. In his welcome speec university communities make our cooperation solved without network h, Victor A. Sadovnichiy has said, "Now the contacts between of Russia and Germany are at high level, it is time to widen it, to the system one. Many education and science tasks cannot be university cooperation ­ at national and international level".

RRU's President has expressed his view that the most important way in common work of the two academicals communities will be to form a modern model of education, based on classic and modern approaches. Exactly this model could answer to global challenges and ensure progress to humanity's values. According to Victor A. Sadovnichiy's words, the first step to rethink the educational basics was the adoption at 20 March 2009, at the IX RRU's Congress, Strategic Initiative "New Educational Dimension". Its essence was the appeal to Russian Rector Society and to foreign colleagues to reborn the academical principles of education, value of creation, spiritual-moral basics, civil responsibility, respect to a human being. Outlining the cooperation between RRU and GRC, Victor A. Sadovnichiy has proposed to include in agenda an interaction of Russian and German rectors to create civilized and real rules to access universities. He has expressed his believe that according to the Berlin principles and Moscow memorandum on university ratings (adopted at November 2009) the global ratings of universities would reflect the real status of a university in educational field. Academician Victor A. Sadovnichiy has called his German colleagues to cooperate in actual scientific researches (supercomputing, biotechnology, nanotechnology etc.) and to develop an intellectual dialog between our countries, in particular, scientific cooperation of students and post-graduates. Professor Karl-Dieter Grueske has endorsed the RSR's president idea to sponsor university's cooperation in the mentioned areas. He has especially stressed the necessity


of more academical mobility between our countries. He has said; "We have got very positive experience of Russian graduates preparing their theses in Germany and we would like to delegate our graduates to Russia". In particular, they are interested in "how a modern can live in modern society, how management technologies could be used to more effectively".

Summing up, RRU's president has pointed out that our both countries have vast area of cooperation. Professor Grueske has expressed his confidence that cooperation between Russian and German rectors' societies would be very fruitful.
