Political Communications in Russia: Searching for a New Institutional Order

The article examines political communications as a new social and informational field of politics in contemporary Russia. Among the analyzed reasons of formation of a new institutional order in sphere of political communications through mass-media are: the media space turning into a political arena; liberalization of political system; technological backwardness of domestic mass-media; public opinion formation as “ultimate authority” of work of mass-media. The author explores the idea of formation of a new institutional order in political communications through public and political institutes and the Internet.
