The article describes some issues related to youth involvement in innovative activity. The authors consider certain mechanisms used by innovation process actors (government, universities, employers, science and technology parks and business incubators) in the framework of integration processes between Russia and Belarus.

The authors emphasize that the development of the interstate mechanisms of youth involvement in innovative activity is one of the promising areas of integration of Russia and Belarus. Such integration has been determined by the long history of relations between higher education institutions and enterprises of two countries, the implementation of joint projects and innovative youth within the USSR.

This article provides an overview of the current status of ongoing projects in this direction. As an example, there is the activity of a business accelerator “Youth Innovation Centre” (“YIC”).
