Discourse as an Instrument of Sociocultural Regulation in Modern Russia

The article explores discourse as an instrument of sociocultural regulation. Russian order of discourse is researched within the frame of discourse-analysis and proposed concepts of “discourse of modernization” and “discourse of security”. As these discourses are instruments of sociocultural regulation they can be used to nominate social groups, legitimate social inequality and interpret social processes in the russian society. Discourse of modernization and discourse of security are considered to be the most significant interpretative schemes of social reality.
