Identifying patterns of the corporate growth is an important research task, which manifests itself in the form of a set of concepts describing corporate growth. The main methodological problem lies in transferring research accent from the search for quantitative characteristics of corporate growth to studying the opportunities, prospects and conditions of its development and to the development of mechanisms of management of its growth. There is a problem of the systematization of such concepts. This problem can be successfully solved using the identity-based methodology and describing the main paradigms of the subject area that unite the theories and models of growth related by common basic provisions. Three such paradigms are defined and described in the article: causal paradigm, paradigm of results of growth and process paradigm.
As a result of the author’s research and classification of methodological approaches to corporate growth the conclusion is drawn that objective restrictions for growth are set by opportunities of the company, which can be expanded by maintaining the high level of innovations.
