'Soft Power' and International Image of the IBSA Countries

India, Brazil and South Africa are presently ascending powers of the world, which have claims on economic and political leadership in the regions of South Asia, Latin America and Africa, respectively. Being members of several formal international organizations and informal state unions, such as IBSA and BRICS, these countries possess growing political weight on the global scene, due to their multilateral cooperation, as well as accumulated and actively cultivated soft power capital.
