She graduated the Faculty of natural geography of Kazan State Pedagogical Institute (1972) and postgraduate study at the Department of history of foreign philosophy at Moscow State University (1976). PhD dissertation – “Critical analysis of theological anthropology of R.Nibur” (1976). Doctoral dissertation – “The Evolution of Protestant cultural studies” (1990). Lyudmila Voronkova has been working as teacher since 1975. From 1975 to 1993 she worked at the Moscow Energy Institute, headed the Department of Cultural Studies.
Since February 1993 she headed the Department of Cultural Studies Training Institute MSU. Since December 2012 she works at the Faculty of Global Studies MSU. From November 2013 to the present time Voronkova is associate dean for academic affairs. She is also a member of the Academy of the Humanities.
The circle of her research interests is related to the cultural and anthropological research, studying the history of science, philosophy of man.
She published 111 articles, 77 books, 44 reports at conferences, 12 abstracts. Voronkova is a member of 3 editorial board of journals and 54 editorial boards of scientific journals. She also developed and read 32 training courses.
