AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN HERITAGE INSTITUTE AND FACULTY OF GLOBAL STUDIES MSU WAS SUBSCRIBED

Dean of Faculty of Global Studies professor I.V. Ilin and director of the Institute of Heritage P.E. Yudin signed at the end of August days of 2014 an agreement about scientific and educational cooperation between the two institutions. The Treaty provides the basis for the development of educational and research activities of the UNESCO Chair for the study of global issues (Head of the Department Y.N. Sayamov).
D.S. Likhachev Russian Research Institute for Cultural and Natural Heritage (short title – Heritage Institute) is the base Russian state institution involved in the cultural and natural heritage. It was stablished in 1992 to implement the provisions of the UNESCO Convention “On Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage.” Activities of the institute have a strong interdisciplinary character.
Russian Research Institute for Cultural and Natural Heritage was created by Government of the Russian Federation in 1992.
Heritage Institute was established to implement the provisions of the UNESCO Convention “On Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage” and the adoption of effective measures for the conservation, improvement and development of the historical, cultural and natural environment. A government decree defined as the goal of scientific support for the state cultural policy and regional programs for the conservation and use of the national heritage.
Background Heritage Institute is associated with the Soviet Cultural Foundation. Frame basis institute were specialists who participated in the work of the Council on unique areas fund.
Understanding of the fundamental role of heritage in the preservation of cultural and natural diversity of the country and its sustainable development is a key activity of the Institute.
The methodology and the theory of the conservation of cultural and natural heritage, the development of integrated regional programs of heritage conservation, creation of a system of protected areas, the scope of cartographic support heritage conservation, study of living traditional culture are at the sphere of interest of the Institute of Heritage.
On July 3, 2014 at a meeting of the Council on International Relations Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted the fact that “at a meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Government in Minsk on May 30 he (Russian Research Institute for Cultural and Natural Heritage Likhachev) has assigned the basic organization of the CIS in the field of conservation of World Heritage sites. And its resources should be used not only for the conservation and promotion of cultural and historical potential of the Russian world, the peoples of Russia, but also for the formation of patriotic youth, its spiritual and moral education. ”
