Vilyui Permafrost Research, Permafrost Institute Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences, Russia In the paper is presented and discussed the examples of successful use of various electrometric and thermometric techniques to study and monitor the state of the right-bank contiguity of the dam at the Vilyui hydroelectric power plant, wich environmental in Western Jakutia. The examples show the efficacy of geophysical methods to study the filtering flow and the necessity of a wide application of them in the monitoring systems in cryolithozone.
