WELCOME ADDRESS FROM THE CHAIRMAN
Dear friends and colleagues, On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to invite you to participate in the International Conference on Nanoscience and Technology, China 2011 (ChinaNANO 2011) which will be held on September 7-9, 2011 in Beijing, China. This is the fourth conference following the successful ChinaNANO 2005, ChinaNANO 2007, and ChinaNANO 2009 held in 2005, 2007, and 2009 in Beijing, respectively. ChinaNANO 2011 is intended to stimulate discussions on the forefront of research in nanoscience and nanotechnology. The conference will focus on inorganic nanomaterials and metal-organic frameworks, carbon nanomaterials, organic and polymeric nanomaterials, nanocomposites and applications, nanodevices and nanosystems, nanobiotechnology and nanomedicine, characterization and standards of nanostructures, nano-optics and plasmonics, as well as modeling and simulation of nanostructures. We sincerely hope that the scope of the conference will serve the interest of the scientific community, as well as the industry and the general public. I wish to extend my welcome to all participants and sponsors of the event. Looking forward to meeting you in Beijing in 2011.

CNCC is ideally located in the heart of the Olympic Green adjacent to the National Stadium (Bird Nest), the National Aquatics Center (Water Cube) and the National Indoor Stadium. Abstracts
Participants are invited to submit abstracts through the conference website http://www.chinanano.org before April 30, 2011. All abstracts must be submitted by presenting authors and each presenting author can submit a maximum of two abstracts.

Papers
After receiving notification of abstract acceptance, please submit your manuscripts by email to chinanano2011@nanoctr.cn before July 31, 2011.The manuscripts will be peer reviewed and selected by the scientific committee of the conference. The accepted manuscripts will be published in "Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology" (http://www.aspbs.com/jnn/).

Best Poster Award
ChinaNANO 2011 will feature a Best Poster Award, which will be presented at the closing ceremony of the conference. Twenty best posters will be selected by the Scientific Committee of ChinaNANO 2011 during the conference, ten for regular authors and ten for students.

Upon the receipt of the Registration Form, a confirmation letter with your registration number will be sent by email to each participant. Please keep a copy of the confirmation letter and show us upon your arriving at the conference registration desk.

Remarks: To guarantee your reservation a deposit covering one night will be required and paid before August 1, 2011 (deposits will be deducted from the final hotel bill). Daily breakfast is included. The requests received after August 1, 2011 can not be guaranteed. The rates are quoted in Chinese Yuan (RMB, about 6.7 RMB = 1 USD) and are subject to currency fluctuation. Without a special declaration, only guaranteed reservations will be accepted: to guarantee your reservation a deposit covering one night will be required and paid ahead (deposits will be deducted from the final hotel bill, which will be paid by the participant at the hotel). No confirmation will be sent until the deposit has been received. Changes and Cancellations All changes and cancellations must be sent to ChinaNANO 2011 by email to chinanano@nanoctr.cn. The local registration committee will send an email to confirm the cancellation. If you have not received the cancellation confirmation within two business days (48 hours), please resend the cancellation information. Please note that hotels will not accept any changes directly. For cancellations received after August 1, 2011 or for no shows, the first night's deposit will not be returned. Registrants who fail to attend the conference without prior notice will be charged for all bookings.

An exhibition will be held during the conference at the same venue. Research institutes, instruments companies, publishers and industrial enterprises are welcome to participate.
