Moscow State University will host the 5th International Biological Universiade from November 20 to November 22, 2015. The Universiade involves students, bachelors and masters studying at universities of our country and abroad. This year 60 teams have applied. The participation was stated by: a team of students from different universities of Iran, SU (Minsk), WU (Wroclaw), KazNU (Almaaty), NU (Astana), BelSU (Belgorod), VoSU (Vologda), VyatSAA (Kirov), Far Eastern Federal University (Vladivostok) , OIAE NRAU MEPhI (Obninsk), ISU (Irkutsk), KazSMU (Kazan) KSMU (Karaganda), KubSU (Krasnodar), MSU (Moscow), MIPT (Dolgoprudny), NSU (Novosibirsk), NNSU (Arzamas branch campus), PSNRU (Perm), First MSMU (Moscow), SPbPU (St. Petersburg), RCTU (Moscow), SSU (Saratov), ??SI RUPF (Sochi), SPbSU (St. Petersburg), SPbSCPA (St. Petersburg), TSU (Tomsk ), TyumSU (Tyumen), USAA (Ulyanovsk), YASPU (Yaroslavl).
Belarus and Kazakhstan teams have already participated in the Universiade, whereas the team from Iran and theљstudent of the University of Wroclaw (Poland) will come to MSU for the first time. It is also the first time when the representatives of the Far Eastern Federal University, MIPT (Dolgoprudny), Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University, Perm State Research University, Kazan State Medical University have taken part in the event.
The Universiade is held in two rounds: the first round is written, the second one is oral. According to the results of the Universiade the teams will be awarded, and the winners in the individual championship will be nominated for the Prize of the President of the Russian Federation. Last year, among the winners nominated for this award within the quota of Moscow State University, apart from Moscow State University students, there were students from St. Petersburg State University and Novosibirsk State University.
