The tournament is a command or individual competition of students in their ability to solve complex biological problematic tasks, to represent solutions in a convincing form and to defend these solutions in the scientific discussion (Biological fight).
The tournament?s basic discipline is biology, working language – Russian. Teams from Russia and CIS countries can take part in the Student Biological tournament.
The pre-published list of questions will be used for the discussion of the tournament, without final and clear answer, allowing the use of a variety of approaches to use. The tasks are carried out collectively. The problem solving involves distinct theoretical studies using various information sources. The coach of the team is allowed to assist in the preparation of decisions, as well as consultations with specialists.
The tournament is attended by teams of 3-5 students of 1-6 courses (specialists, bachelors or masters), full-time students of higher education institutions (universities). The people of a team cannot be changed throughout the tournament. A team is headed by a captain who is once claimed before the game started, and is the official representative of the team during the competition.
Teams wishing to participate in the Student tournament should apply for the organizing committee of the tournament within the established deadlines.
