Main idea


build distributed gLite testbed at RDIG (participants: IHEP, INR, JINR and PNPI)


Current implementation at JINR


virtualization can be used to optimize an utilization of hardware resources since performance of such infrastructure is not critical OpenVZ virtualization software is used

lightweight from host load point of view easy to install and configure some set of tools for virtual servers management freeware



next step is to connect a resources of other RDIG SA3 participants to that infrastructure to build a distributed testbed at RDIG


gLite 3.1 services


Two gLite sites:

CE (2 WNs behind), SE, top BDII, site BDII, WMS, LB, LFC, VOMS, UI CE (2 WNs behind), SE, site BDII


infrastructure utilization


Apart from SA3 activity this infrastructure is used also for other purposes:

gLite user trainings for people from JINR member and associated states as well as students grid service development for gLite environment

re-design current infrastructure connect the rest RDIG participants to it more intensively act in that activity
