The majority of first-order equations are equivalent. The Stuckelberg equations include an additional scalar field and are not equivalent to others. Second-order forms of relativistic wave equations are also used. However, the problem of consistency of these equations takes place. Some equations lead to complex energy modes for particles in external fields. It has been proposed to derive spin motion equations and to compare them with the Bargmann-Michel-Telegdi equation in order to verify different spin-1 particle theories [1]. In this work more exact criterion is used. We compare the diagonalized Hamiltonian obtained as a result of the Foldy-Wouthuysen transformation with the Lagrangians found in Refs. [2,3] for particles with arbitrary spin. Use of these Lagrangians permits to take into consideration second-order terms in spin operators. The comparison shows the Corben-Shwinger equations (the first-order Proca equations with an additional term characterizing an anomalous magnetic moment) describe weak-field effects correctly. Some second-order relativistic wave equations are incorrect. The correct second-order equation for the Hamiltonian is derived. An inclusion of term characterizing an own quadrupole moment brings to serious difficulties. [1] A.J. Spectrum and Bose-Einstein correlations of these direct photons can be used to extract space-time dimensions and dynamics of the hottest part of the collision and of its very beginning stage. However, contribution of direct photons to the total photon yield is only few percent (5-20 %, depending on Pt) of the total photon yield, while the dominating part of photons (decay photons below) comes from the decays of final hadrons, mainly neutral pions, so that extraction of the direct photon yield and especially direct photon correlations is a challenging experimental task. Fortunately, one can show, that there is a kinematik region, where one can separate correlations of direct and decay photons: for invariant relative momentum Qinv < 50 MeV/c decay photons do not contribute to the two-photon correlation function. In the frame of the hydrodynamic model I make predictions of the yield and correlation parameters of direct photons in Pb+Pb collisions at SPS and LHC energies. Within the same model I evaluate yield of decay photons and estimate possibility of extraction of direct photon correlations. I discuss sensitivity of direct photon interferometry to the variation of space-time dimensions and dynamics of the hot part of the system, created in the ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions. |12 May 1972|Russian|XIII VL 581548|-|-|September 4|September 11

However, measurement of direct photon correlations in ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions is a very challenging task. Strength of these correlations is expected to be on the level of 0.1-2 %, depending on average transverse momentum of the pair. Extraction of two-photon correlation function with such precision requires very detailed understanding of physical background, of properties of the detector and of performance of the reconstruction procedure. Using simulation and reconstruction software of ALICE experiment, AliRoot package, I estimate possibility of experimental measurement of Bose-Einstein correlations of direct photons by dedicated photon spectrometer of ALICE experiment, PHOS. I define resolutions in measurement of relative momenta, construct correlation function and define region, where correlation function is free from the apparatus effects. I found, that there is rather large region of relative momenta, where one can measure correlation function with sufficient accuracy and where errors, introduced by reconstruction procedure are negligible. |April 28, 1973|Russian||||September 4|September 11

The mechanism of light particle trapping is accounted for by a strong self-interaction of five-dimensional pre-quarks. We obtain the low-energy effective action which exhibits the invariance under the so called $\tau$-symmetry. Then we find a set of vacuum solutions which break that symmetry and the five-dimensional translational invariance. One type of those vacuum solutions gives rise to the domain wall formation with consequent trapping of light massive fermions and Higgs-like bosons as well as massless sterile scalars, the so-called branons. The induced relations between low-energy couplings for Yukawa and scalar field interactions allow to make certain predictions for light particle masses and couplings themselves, which might provide a signature of the higher dimensional origin of particle physics at future experiments. The manifest translational symmetry breaking, eventually due to some gravitational and/or matter fields in five dimensions, is effectively realized with the help of background scalar defects. As a result the branons acquire masses, whereas the ratio of Higgs and fermion (presumably top-quark) masses can be reduced towards the values compatible with the present-day phenomenology. Since the branons do not couple to fermions and the Higgs bosons do not decay into branons, the latter ones are essentially sterile and stable, what makes them the natural candidates for the dark matter in the Universe. |||||||

The finiteness of the analytic coupling at zero is shown to be a consequence of the asymptotic freedom property of the initial theory. The nonperturbative contributions to the analytic coupling are extracted explicitly. For all $Q>\Lambda$ they are represented in the form of an expansion in inverse powers of Euclidean momentum squared. The effective method for a precise calculation of the analytic running coupling is developed on the basis of the stated expansion. The energy scale evolution of the analytic running coupling for the one- to four-loop cases is studied and the higher loop stability and low dependence on the quark threshold matching conditions in comparison with the perturbative running coupling were found. Normalizing the analytic running coupling at the scale of the rest mass of the $Z$ boson with the world average value of the strong coupling constant, $\alpha_{\mathrm{an}}(M_Z^2)=$ $0.1181\pm 0.002$, one obtains as a result of the energy scale evolution of the analytic running coupling $\alpha_{\mathrm{an}}(M_\tau^2)=$ 0.2943$^{+0.0111}_{-0.0106}$ that is notably lower than the estimations of the coupling strength available at the scale of the mass of the $\tau$ lepton. |||||||

The infinitesimal Lorentzœs transformation is used for deriving a motion equation of a material point. This transformation corresponds a transition from the Inertial Frame of Reference with the fourth speed UÃÅ motion to the Frame of Reference with the following speed UÃÅ + dUÃÅ , where : dUÃÅ = (UV dUÃÅ - UÃÅ dUV)UV. Therefore the Lorentzœs transformation written in the form of finite differences: Ã?UÃÅ = (UV Ã?UÃÅ - UÃÅ Ã?UV)UV and as a result of making a substitution of expression below in it: reduces to correct form of motion equation for a charged particle in the external field of forces with the account of radiation reaction and definite choice of Ã?Ãä interval quantity. Taking into consideration further components in the second equation of Ã?UV value and beginning from the third term it makes a possibility of receiving some additional and rather small components in the expression of radiation reaction of a charged particle. One hypothesis supposition is discussed, that such a modified expression of radiation reaction is much more better in conformity with reality and alloys to explain some obvious exceeding in the experimental quantity of the Stephan-Boltzmannœs constant in comparison with its theoretical value which is deduced by integration with respect to the frequencies of the Plankœs expression for heat electromagnetic radiation density. |||||||

The structures of our interest are planar and cylindrical waveguides (with infinite parabolic and step-like profile of the refractive index) consisting of segments exhibiting different non-linear properties (structures with spatially distributed Kerr-like non-linearity). Our analysis is based on numerical solution of the (2+1)non-linear wave equation for the slowly varying pulse amplitude. Contribution of self-steepening and normal dispersion effects as well as of the retarded non-linear response of the waveguide material are analysed separately in detail. |||||||
