. . , . The article contains a critical analysis of the phenomenon of childfree. Here the author examines the demographic situation in Russian society and the negative trends in the reproductive behavior of Russians, analyzes the influence of demographic factors on the preservation of Russian statehood and suggests the possible ways to influence on the reproductive orientation of people. Also the article discusses the basic methods of transmission of values families in contemporary society.
