The influence of "fibre–matrix" interface energetic characteristics on the polymer composite strength

Abstract

A correlation between energy characteristics of interfaces "fibre - polymer connective" and tensile strength of polymer composite materials (PCM) was demonstrated by the example of microplastics. A new approach for express prediction strength properties of PCM based on determination of adhesive characteristics of polymer connective in the model systems by wetting method was proposed and experimentally confirmed.
