PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY DIVISION
LABORATORY OF CATALYSIS AND GAS ELECTROCHEMISTRY
OCCUPATION: Leading researcher.
RESEARCH ACTIVITIES AND INTERESTS: Theory and experimental works in the field of using the radiation-thermal treatment for solid heterogeneous systems, catalysts (supports) by the charged particles with the energy up to 2.0 MeV by using of electron accelerators (radiation-thermal catalysts' regeneration; radiation-thermal treatment for rendering harmless of toxic and unhealthy solid waste products of oil- and gas- processing; "cold" radiation-thermal synthesis of supported catalysts and modification of solid catalysts). Methods for radiation treatment of heterogeneous systems; radiation-thermal synthesis of high-purity materials for chemistry and electronics.
Physical and chemical aspects of radiation-thermal treatments of heterogeneous catalysts by by beam of accelerated electrons. It includes: investigations the nature of anomalies high rates of a selective radiolysis process for a number of structure on the surface and bulk phases in multicomponent porous media caused by beam of accelerated 0.5-2.0 MeV electrons; data and mechanism of oxidation radiolysis of compounds in pores and on oxides surfaces; investigation high temperature radiolysis of metals salts in a matrix and on the surface of oxides; data and analysis the influence of carrier nature on the kinetic parameters of carbon oxidation reactions and the decomposition of transition metal salts; previously unknown data on the reaction kinetics at phases boarder taking place under the influence of the beam of retarded electrons in oxide systems.
RECENT PUBLICATIONS:
We are ready for cooperation to realize the specific programmes:
- to cooperate in the development of the technology for "cold"
radiation synthesis and modification of supported catalysts;
- to jointly investigate the structure of catalysts after radiation-thermal
treatment;
- to develop new radiation-thermal synthesis of high-purity materials.
