I'm looking for English speaking friends in this forum. Just to chat for fun -)). Australians are quite welcome!!! (I used to live in Australia for a couple of years and recently returned back to Russia). Well, if you wonna know more about Moscow and whatever you find strange in here, then you are encouraged to ask about it, or just share your feelings. Can't agree with you. About two weeks ago I saw a work about lingual text analysis algorithms which can determine the sex of the author for an english text with quite a good reliability. Don't have an internet connection right now, but please remind me later - I will post a link to the software using that algorithm.

I read something about similar investigations, so you didn't suprise me. I believe you.
But I think there are at least two possible shortcomings for that technique in this environment:
- amount of text available for analysis is too small
- language used in the text is not writer's native.
What do you say? Am I absolutely wrong?

A friend of mine normaly use different names in ICQ when he chats to me. (he tries to make an illusion he is very sexual girl. The reason? He tries to examine my reaction on different girl's behavour) Well, initially I'm pretty sure I'm talking with a girl, but when I hear familiar "Oh, Alex, my old fucked-up mate" I understand this is my friend -))) It's so funny! -))) Have you encountered with stuffs like that?
