THE THIRD ANNUAL STUDENTS' SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE ON TODAY'S TOPICAL POLITICAL AND PHILOSOPHICAL ISSUES Faculty of Political Science NATURAL RESOURCES AND RAW MATERIALS: THE GIFT OF Lobko Yana The faculty of political science Course 1 The problem of our economic advancement has always been connected with the natural resources. The Russian Federation is one of the world's richest countries in raw materials. Russia acounts for around 20 percent of the world's production of oil and natural gas and possesses large reserves of both fuels. This abundance has made Russia virtually self-sufficient in energy and a large-scale exporter of fuels. Oil and gas were primary hard-currency earners for the Soviet Union, and they remain so for the Russian Federation. One cannot deny the fact that the USSR, this superpower, might have still existed, if the economy of the Soviet Union had not depended so much on the export of oil. But history doesn't know the subjunctive mood. We can't change anything in our past, but we should think of today's state of affairs and our government must prevent our economy of becoming an oil addict. The natural resources are still the top issue of the day and I'd like to dwell on it. ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION AS A TRADITION AND SOCIAL PROBLEM Ananiev Dmitriy The faculty of political science Course 1

Consumption of alcohol is traditional for most of the world's cultures and civilizations. Sometimes, however, following such a tradition leads to different social problems, e.g. alcoholism. In addition, car accidents and different types of violence are often related to the consumption of alcohol. Indeed, a lot of problems are caused solely by the consumption of alcohol. Nevertheless it still remains a `good tradition' to drink. Here, the question rises. Is it worth it? Shall we prohibit or cut down alcohol consumption? Or should we try to encourage the awareness of all the troubles that can be caused by it? To answer all these questions a thorough research is required. We need to see from the very beginning how alcohol came into our society and why some cultures avoided it. Statistic data will help us to make a conclusion if taking alcohol regularly is really harmful or its pros overcome its cons. GALICIAN RAKE Ivanenko Yuriy The faculty of political science Course 1 The aim of the report is to show the roots of the current crisis in Ukraine and the role of so called western territories (e.g. Galicia) in it After being incorporated into the Soviet Union they turned into a powder keg, becoming an excellent basis for nationalism in Ukraine. As a result deprivation of rights of millions of Russians living on the territory of Ukraine made them appealed to Russia for help.

THE NECESSITY OF STRUCTURAL REFORMS IN THE RUSSIAN ECONOMY Kononov Zahar The faculty of political science Course 1 The aim of the work is to describe the current state of the Russian economy, the problems it faces and the main reasons caused them. Besides, several ways out from a hard situation are suggested for the Russian economy. The crisis of underproduction, which is a characteristic feature of the Russian economy since 1970s, is going on. The structural disproportions in the economy (a very high percentage of the defense sector in the public industry, ineffectiveness of the foreign trade, including import of end product and export of oil raw materials and the like) are the consequences of the previous long-term development strategy. The reasons for the lack of commodities in so called "B" sector of the Russian industry can be seen in the strategy, held by the USSR during its existence, aimed at turning the country into a worthy heavy-industrial rival of the USA. The main solution lies in holding off the growth of the industrialization of the country. THE INTERNET AND ITS INFLUENCE ON POLITICAL LIFE Evseev Eldar The faculty of political science Course 1 The Internet has certain advantages in all spheres of life, the politics is not an exception. The Internet can be very influential, but it can be dangerous as well. We can see the devastating impact of the Internet on political life in Egypt. The role of the Internet and social networks is really great. In conclusion an attempt will be made to consider some measures that should be done to prevent possible side effects and negative influence of the Internet on political life. THE ROLE OF INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS IN POLITICAL DECISIONMAKING Mun Alina The Faculty of Political Science Course 1 Agreements are important tools in political activities as politics, according to its specific nature, is closely linked to the phenomena of conflict and cooperation. The essence and art of politics are in finding resolutions to existing conflicts, in reconciling rival views and competing interests. International treaties and agreements can be considered as an evidence of political and international cooperation aimed at promoting international relations, achieving solutions on international problems. In conclusion some important political agreements will be considered and their role in political decision- making analyzed. EUROMAIDAN: THE WINTER OF DISCONTENT Egorov Egor The faculty of political science Course 1 Recently the Ukrainian government came in for sharp criticism for its inability to resolve many economic problems. Ordinary people expressed grave concern about the situation. Ideally things would be going in the other direction, with the opposition demanding taking urgent steps to improve the position of working people in the country. But military groups supported by Western countries put Ukraine in utter chaos, with bloody street clashes, discrimination against

ethnic Russians, and methods of dictatorship and terror. Our immediate concern is to put an end to violence and try to solve all burning issues by peaceful means. RUSSIAN-AMERICAN RELATIONS: SHOULD THEY PLUNGE INTO A NEW COLD WAR? Ravazashvili Grigoriy The faculty of political science Course 1 Unfortunately, the relations between Russia and the USA have deteriorated dramatically for the last few days due to a social upheaval in Ukraine. International community welcomed the policy of reset that was considered to be fruitful in the future. But in fact the Obama administration is pursuing the policy that was developed by Clinton about 20 years ago. One of the aims has always been to promote America's interests under the pretext of advocating freedom and democracy. The latest development of events in Ukraine is fraught with the return to the years of cold war. SCHOOL EDUCATION IN THE USSR vs RUSSIA: WHERE IS THE GOLDEN MEAN? Vedyakina Dariya The faculty of political science Course 1 The Soviet system of school education was considered to be one of the best in the world and there were a few reasons for it: tuition was free of charge, the main emphasis was laid on preparing a well-rounded man rather than a specialist in particular field. The modern school, on the contrary, tries to provide pupils with practical skills. As Rousseau put it, ''We have physicists, chemists...in plenty, but we have no longer a citizen among us". On the one hand, profound knowledge, on the other, high moral standards would be considered as the best balance between the past and the present. CYBER WARFARE Balandina Anastasiya The faculty of political science Course 2

Nowadays, war is waged not only on battle fields. With the spread of computerized technologies, most of governmental and non-governmental organizations use lavishly the Internet and become strongly dependent on it. That is why an attack on their operating systems can damage the economics of a country. With the development and growth of computer and the Internet dependency, any attack can be a threat to national security and considered as a matter of espionage. The work gives a brief description of different types of cyber warfare, as well as an analysis of the development of cyber warfare from 2011 to 2014. EMOTIONAL, AFFECTIVE AND BEHAVIORAL ASPECTS OF THE CONTEMPORARY IMAGE OF RUSSIA Makarenkova Anastasiya The faculty of political science Course 2 The article deals with the problem of Russian image both inside and outside the country. Russian authorities have made a lot of attempts to promote a more positive image inside and

outside the country creating new pro-Russian government TV-programs, organizing PRconferences, giving grants. Today it is possible to estimate and analyze the results of this impact. This information seems to be very important as it allows us to identify mass preferences in the perception of Russia on rational and unconscious levels and show the pitch of confidence to Russian authorities among citizens. Moreover, the problem of perception of Russia throughout the world is essential due to the modern tense situation in the world. THE US CULTURAL IMPERIALISM Glebova Polina The faculty of political science Course 2 Cultural imperialism is the practice of promoting, distinguishing, separating and artificially injecting the culture or language of one nation in other. Generally, the world powers have crossed cultural boundaries all over the world; but among these world powers, the US has had an enormous international influence. Firstly, cultural imperialism occurs when one "dominant" culture infuses into another one that sometimes leads to destruction of native culture. American culture penetrates into native cultures with fashions, music, movies, dances, literature and begin to dominate there. The biggest problem is that the growing among Americans ethnocentrism is spreading all over the world. BENJAMIN DISRAELI AND HIS INFLUENCE ON THE TORY IDEOLOGY Gudzenko Maria The faculty of political science Course 2 The aim of the work is to figure out the key points of Disraeli's policy that has affected the image and position of the UK's Conservative Party and paved the way to the changes in its doctrine after his death. Besides we intend to reveal his own conception of conservatism and draw attention to his attempts to implement some of its elements into practice. The work gives answer to the question whether these changes have brought a positive or a negative result. TRANSCARPATHIA: FORGOTTEN RUSSIAN ALLY Strahov Aleksandr The faculty of political science Course 2 The work is devoted to a brief account of the situation in Transcarpathia the only region of Western Ukraine that is pro-Russian oriented. The aim is to show why Transcarpathia sympathizes with Russia, how Russia uses it and how it can be used. THE INFORMATION WAR AROUND THE OLYMPIC GAMES IN SOCHI Manuzina Alyona The faculty of political science Course 2 In the age of information and public opinion the role of mass-media is ever increasing. Governments and various political actors use the power of mass-media in order to influence the public opinion in their favour, and to achieve their own political goals. I'd like to research how some significant events may be treated differently depending on the narrator. Toward this end I will use the articles from Russian and foreign newspapers about the Olympic Games in Sochi.

I'll try to outline the leading editions' attitude to the Olympics, how this attitude has been changing and whether Russia managed to organize an outstanding event and (that is of the great importance too) to win `the information war'. THE PROBLEM OF POLITICAL VALUES TRANSLATED THROUGH THE INTERNET: ANALYSIS AND CHARACTERISTIC OF VALUES PROPAGATED BY FOUR MAIN POLITICAL PARTIES IN SOCIAL NETWORKS Loschilina Mariya The faculty of political science Course 2 The problem of political values is essential and consuming as they are one of the basic elements of political behavior. Political values impact on the formation of political consciousness by laying its foundation. Guided by their values citizens give preference to a certain party, show active or passive civic stand. The government can conduct the most acceptable policy or develop suitable ideology in the society. Due to the wide spread of the Internet politicians use it as an environment for political values formation through such social networks as Vkontakte and Twitter which are also under consideration in this work. Notable political values are collected and analyzed in the work, therefore it could be useful not only for a would-be politician but for people interested in philosophy, psychology and other disciplines that study society, power and their interaction. THE ISRAELI LOBBY AND THE U.S. FOREIGN POLICY Kalmykova Dariya The faculty of political science Course 2 The aim of the work is to show how pro-Israeli American lobby shapes American foreign policy in the Middle East Nowhere is this more evident than in the Middle East, a region of constant instability and enormous strategic importance. The preservation of the U.S. national interests should be the core of American foreign policy. For the past several decades, however, and especially after the Six Day War (1967), they made emphasis on the strengthening their ties with Israel. A combination of unwavering support of Israel with constant efforts to spread "democracy" throughout the region has inflamed Arab Islamic countries and jeopardized the U.S. security. This situation is unique for the American political history. Why has the United States been willing to set aside its own security in order to advance the interests of another state? Now and then some interest groups have managed to skew U.S. foreign policy in the directions they favored, but no lobby has managed to divert the U.S. foreign policy as far from what American national interests would otherwise suggest, while simultaneously convincing Americans that the U.S. and Israeli interests are essentially identical. THE CONCEPT OF SOFT AND HARD POWER Chekalova Maria The faculty of political science Course 2 Over the past decade, the terms «soft power» and «hard power» became very popular, especially in the sphere of international relations. Despite the growing body of literature on the topic and the numerous discussions about the use of these elements, there is still no agreement on what exactly soft and hard power are, how their principles work and how to measure their effectiveness.

«Hard power» is known as the use of military and economic means to influence the behavior or interests of other political bodies. This form of political power is often aggressive, and is most effective when imposed by one political body upon another of lesser military and economic power. Hard power contrasts with «soft power», which can be described as the ability to attract and co-operate, rather than use force. It offers some methods of persuasion and compromise. It is not surprising that those of us who live in developed countries rarely encounter hard power. One of the objectives of civilization is precisely to transform hard power into soft power; anarchy into order, force into law, power into legitimate authority. These are the goals the domestic political structures set for themselves to achieve. THE INFLUENCE OF LGBT (LESBIAN-GAY-BISEXUAL-TRANSSEXUAL) MOVEMENT ON THE MODERN SOCIETY Smirnova Dariya The faculty of political science Course 2 The issue is of vital importance as it concerns social, cultural and political aspects of our life. Nowadays there are many social movements around the world. Democracy allows different minorities to protect their rights and fight for equality with others. At first their aims and means they used were quite peaceful, but then they became more active and even aggressive, so now they gain more and more power especially in the western countries, which influences the whole society. The aim of my work is to analyze the movement of sexual minorities, known as LGBTmovement, first of all its brief history so as to find the reasons of its growth. It is also important to know the current situation connected with this movement in different countries. Here I'd like to draw the attention to the most controversial question of same-sex marriages and adoption of children. We also need to study the LGBT-movement to understand how it influences common people and the society's culture because it concerns such aspects of our life as morality, marriages and families, children's upbringing etc. This movement also affects our norms and traditions, including the religious ones. It creates conflicts and misunderstandings not only between individuals, but between nations and states as well. LIBERALISM AND CONSERVATISM IN TERMS OF NEGATIVE AND POSITIVE FREEDOM Ivanova Polina The faculty of political science Course 2 Modern political philosophy is dominated by the view that implies the existence of two aspects of freedom: negative and positive. This theory has been expounded by the 20th century philosopher Isaiah Berlin in his essay "Two Concepts of Liberty". The negative notion of freedom emphasizes that a person is "free from" any obstacles. That is the external independence from boundaries, limitations and restrictions. The positive side of freedom, on the contrary, can be referred to the so-called "freedom for". This approach reveals the internal component of freedom, which is tightly connected with the reason, selfconsciousness and responsibility of an individual. Each of these aspects is implemented into practice in its own way. Thus a great deal of political scientists remark that this fundamental division of freedom is a key point to highlight and, which is more important, to clarify certain crucial differences between the ideologies of conservatism and liberalism.

WESTERN COUNTRIES' POLICY OF DOUBLE STANDARDS IN UKRAINE Guseva Julya The faculty of political science Course 2 For the last few years Western countries, first of all the United States, have been trying to promote their interests in Ukraine, which include changing its political system, pulling Ukraine into NATO, elimination of friendly relations with Russia. Taking advantage of economic difficulties that Ukraine has been going through for many years,. Western circles helped local nationalists to stage a military coup. Now they accuse Russia of interfering into home affairs of Ukraine. Their policy has resulted in splitting the country. At the same time they say that they want the country to remain unified. But military groups supported by Western countries put Ukraine in utter chaos, with bloody street clashes and discrimination of ethnic Russians. Our immediate concern is to put an end to violence and try to solve all burning issues by peaceful means. GENOCIDE OF JEWISH PEOPLE: HISTORY & TODAY'S PERCEPTION Christina Drozdetskaya Faculty of Political Science Course 2 The Second World War was the greatest event of the 20th century. It harshly changed lives of millions of people in different parts of our planet. Each nation had to face fear and dramatic death toll. The tragedy of Jewish people is the embodiment of all pain in that terrible period. Ghetto and Auschwitz killed more than one million of Jews. The report covers key historical facts about genocide of Jewish people. While trying to show the audience all terrible situation of the WWII time, it also addresses to the present day. Now there is a lot of controversy over the Holocaust issue in the world. Along with a short historical reference to the cruel events of the past, the report investigates a range of contemporary opinions. KURDS ISSUE IN TURKEY Alice Kovtun The faculty of political science Course 2 Turkish Kurdistan is a part of "land of Kurds", situated in the Middle East, on the territories of Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria. Kurds are the only national minority in Turkey, fighting against Turkish assimilatory policy since 1923. They appealed to the Sevres agreement under which Kurds could proclaim their independence. Subsequently the Turkish government constantly denied the existence of Kurds issue. However, since the mid 70s there was an upsurge of Kurdish national identity and the politicization of a significant part of the Kurdish population occurred. So, is "Kurds issue" still of vital importance for Turkey? HUMAN RIGHTS IN RUSSIA Zatolokina Lyudmila The faculty of political science Course 2 Rights of citizens and human rights country has passed the times when the history. Today we have what we have: constitutional form of governance. But are the most important values available to a person. Our oppression of human nature was an essential fact of the Russia was developing in a special way and came to what is the situation now? Do we have any concerns or

do we have something to strive? Preliminary plan: 1. Human rights(general idea). 2. Worldwide experience, international acts and other sources of people`s rights. 3. Russia`s experience: then and now. Modern problems and achievements. SCOTTISH SEPARATISM: FACING THE REFERENDUM Filyaeva Alina, The Faculty of Political Science Course 2 The work is devoted to the problem of Scottish separatism. Nowadays one of the most serious problems of world politics is the future of the European Union. And one of the most serious threats, which the European Union faces, is growing separatist movements in its member states In recent decade the problem of British separatism grew worse. Nowadays every large administrative unit (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) has a considerable number of separation followers. The most famous "separatist" regions are Scotland and Northern Ireland, and in Scotland the situation has become very sharp. Before its union with England, Scotland was a separate kingdom and it still has its own national church (Presbyterian), separate education and legal systems and its own language (Gaelic) which is spoken in some parts of the country. The Scottish National Party (SNP) feels that the exploitation of the North Sea oil and gas has done little to develop the economy of Scotland. The drive for independence was partly satisfied by the establishment in 1999 of a parliament with limited tax-raising powers, but nationalists demand much more. In 2007, the SNP became the largest party in the Scottish Parliament Vote in 2014 on Scottish Independence. Now Scottish separatists are looking for the referendum in the autumn of 2014, on which Scotland will make a decision about its independence. What is the procedure of this referendum? What are the reasons for voting "for" and "against"? What do politicians think about the way the voting might go? Which perspectives Scotland has? All these issues are under consideration in the work. INTRAPARTY STRIFE IN MAJOR U.S. PARTIES Gabelko Anton The faculty of political science Course 2 The aim of the work is to show the current inner state of the two main US parties. In the 1960s - 1970s the Republican Party saw a real struggle between the moderate, liberal wing and the conservative one. In the 1980s - 1990s controversies almost came to naught but in the latest decade they appeared again. The Democratic Party was strongly divided during the period between World War II and the Vietnam War on issues of racial integration and foreign policy but now it is much more united. THE POLITICAL IMAGE OF PYATIGORSK Andreeva Masha The faculty of political science Course 3 The major cities of our country, compete with each other for financial and human resources, and pay increasing attention to forming a positive image of the city. Like any product needs a good advertising, the city needs a positive image, that will predetermine its political, economic, social and cultural success. That is why positive image for Pyatigorsk is of vital importance.

Firstly, Pyatigorsk is the capital of the North - Caucasus Federal District. Secondly, Pyatigorsk, a "sanatorium of Russia", is the country's largest health resort. So the higher the image of the city the greater number of visitors it can expect. Besides positive image of a city helps not only its residents, but affects the formation of the image of the Russian Federation as a whole. Ethnic tension, recurrent attacks by terrorists destabilize the situation. The above mentioned complicates the task of the city administration in creating a positive image of the city. In conclusion we give a number of objective and subjective factors affecting the formation of an image. Among them are political, economic, social, and ethnic factors, the solution of which will greatly simplify this task. ADAPTATION OF TRANSATLANTIC PARTNERSHIP TO MODERN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AFTER THE COLD WAR Levchenko Alla The faculty of political science Course 3 The work deals with the current state and future prospects for the transatlantic relationships after the collapse of the Soviet Union. At the moment the US-European partnership faces: the necessity to create the new international norms in post-Cold War era; integrate the emerging new power centers (China, India); overcome the current serious threats to the Western interests. Regarding transatlantic collaboration outside Europe these issues could again raise traditional burden-sharing problems across the Atlantic. Besides due attention is given to a new flexible model of interaction in the "new world order". THE DEVELOPMENT OF CIVIC NATION AS A GUARANTEE OF NATIONAL CONSENSUS Shulgina Veronika The faculty of political science Course 3 The article analyzes the practice of Russian civil society formation, as well as evaluates specific national context of the above process. The author argues that in the multinational Russia the process of a civil society formation could progress only on an over-national basis, i.e. under the condition of the Russians transformation into political nation and formation of their civil identity. The article is devoted to the analysis of multicultural relations in the modern Russia and the ways to achieve social integration across various ethnic groups. It also analyses the local integrity factors in the Russian society. In this sense, citizenship is not only a legal status that determines the granting of rights and responsibilities, but also the identity and expression of a membership in the political community PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP: POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE ASPECTS Mihail Gusev The faculty of political science Course 3 A public-private partnership (PPP) is a model of implementation of socially oriented projects which are funded and operated through a partnership of state and private companies. In an ideal form PPP is beneficial for everybody: government, private companies and society. But an ideal form of this model differs from the reality. So, the main advantages and disadvantages of publicprivate partnership will be dwelt upon in the report.

CURRENT AUSTRIAN MIGRATION POLICY Irina Nizovkina, The faculty of political science Course 3 The work deals with the Austrian migration policy. International labor migration plays an important role in the development of the world economy. Over the past two centuries, Austria has participated in various forms of international migration, including immigration, emigration and transit migration. Today Austria is one of the leaders among migrant-receiving countries. 10.5 % of its population is of foreign origin,- the fifth place in the EU. The Austrian government gives special priority to the invitation of highly skilled workers, and the workers of professions needed for the country. RUSSIA-REPUBLIC OF KOREA: PROSPECTS OF BILATERAL RELATIONS Chayana Hertek The faculty of political science Course 3 The work deals with the prospects of bilateral relations between Russia and Republic of Korea. The strategic importance of the Asia-Pacific region (APR) is determined by its role of "locomotive" for the world economy. The actual weight of the region in the foreseeable future is certain to grow. There is no doubt that Russia and APR countries have cooperated for centuries in the economic, political and social spheres and this region has always been very significant to Russia. South Korea is no exception here and moreover, with coming to power of the new president, our relations have become even stronger. . TRANSFORMATION OF THE NOTION OF `DEMOCRACY' IN A HISTORICAL CONTEXT Deev Ivan The faculty of political science Course 3 The work is devoted to the problem of democracy and its transformation in time. The term "democracy" came into being several thousand years ago. However, its meaning has been changing through the history. Democracy today is not the same as it was 50 or 100 years ago. The author tries to give answer to the following issues: What did the ancient Greeks mean by "democracy"? How has this concept changed since medieval times? What is modern liberal democracy? What are the characteristic features of "Russian" democracy and "sovereign democracy"? THE PROBLEMS OF POLITICAL SOCIALIZATION AND FORMATION OF CIVIL IDENTITY ON THE INTERNET Avdeeva Nadezda The faculty of political science Course 3 The problem of civic identity formation in modern Russian political society is closely connected with the problem of recruiting people into the political system of society, their political socialization. The aim of this work is to discuss one of the institutions of secondary

political socialization in modern society - the Internet, and its impact on the political socialization of an individual and on the formation of his civic identity. AMERICAN CINEMA: A MIRROR OF POLITICAL LIFE Ishimnikov Maksim The faculty of political science Course 3 The aim of the work is to show how changes in the political life of the United States influence the values declared by the movies - from the Ku Klux Klan as the main asset of society and bloodthirsty Indians to 'damned communists' and Arab terrorists; from racism by D.W. Griffith and Cecil B. De Mille to the anti-war manifesto by Francis F. Coppola . Financial assistance of the CIA, the Jewish lobby in Hollywood , tolerance, political correctness and homosexuality are an ideal way to get the Oscar . Cinema and politics have always been inseparable elements in the chain of American existence. DYONISIC AND APOLLONIC IN ITALIAN FASCISM Krivoshapov Mihail The faculty of political science Course 3 Fascism was one of the most complicated and disputable political movements in history and is still under consideration nowadays. One of the ideological grounds of antifascist resentment is fascist attraction to the irrational side of human consciousness. At the same time, fascism represented a project of a totalitarian state that fully managed the social life of an individual. The work outlines the origins of fascist esthetics and its view on human psychology, being based on the works of Italian thinkers of the beginning of the XX-th century such as Italian futurist Tomaso Marinetti and a famous writer Gabriele D' Annunzio , `Il Poeta' as he was called, and the leader of the self-proclaimed Republic of Fiume. FRENCH CONSERVATISM: FROM THE GREAT FRENCH REVOLUTION TO PRESENT DAYS Ananiev Nikita The faculty of political science Course 3 The paper deals with the history and ideology of French conservatism the ideology, which was formed in response to the French revolution, and was one of the «founding fathers» of conservative idea. French conservatism as a political ideology, its origin and basic principles; the history of the conservative movement in France from ultraroyalists to «Movement pour la France», and famous conservative philosophers from Louis de Bonald to Charles Maurras are under discussion.

IMAGE OF AN IDEAL PHILOSOPHER AS IT IS SEEN BY FRIEDRICH NIETZSCHE (On work of F. Nietzsche "Beyond Good and Evil. Prelude to a Philosophy of the Future") Chistoserdov Mihail The faculty of philosophy Course 1 Friedrich Nietzsche was sure that philosophy was most important for humanity. He saw that it was discredited in the world. Nietzsche connected this fact with the degeneration of philosophers. In his work "Beyond Good and Evil. Prelude to a Philosophy of the Future" Nietzsche offers his vision of a philosopher who cannot only restore the power of philosophy, but even change the surrounding world and people. A NEW SILK ROAD Kochetkov Dmitriy The faculty of political science Course 3 In September 2013 the Chinese leadership announced an ambitious integration concept of creating an economic zone and sea trade routes called «Economic Zone of the Silk Road». As we can see, the title of the project was not chosen randomly. The Silk Road will bring major changes in the economies of Central Asia and primarily will strengthen the position of China, which does not seek regional hegemony, does not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, but only establishes economic ties. However, China's economic integration plan for Central Asia worries, first of all, Russia, which fears that it will become an obstacle to the Eurasian Union. In addition, with China's growth, such actors as the U.S. and the European Union may also lose their spheres of influence. Nowadays only the U.S., Europe, China and Russia are considered the four global strategic forces, and, therefore, this project is more than interesting from several aspects, including geopolitical and economic ones. LEGALIZATION AND LEGITIMATION OF P0WER Krasnotsvetov Gleb The faculty of political science The problems of power legitimation and legalization have become rather actual after the recent events in Syria, Libya and Ukraine. The author will try to show the difference between these notions. Besides it is very important to demonstrate the main mechanisms of such a process as legitimation and trace these mechanisms in the world history. INFORMATION SECURITY IN MODERN RUSSIA. Lavrinov Boris The faculty of political science Course 1 In the difficult time of Ukrainian crisis we witnessed an information war between Russia and Europe. The "Western" media organized anti-Russian campaign in cooperation with krainian

partners. Most of their materials are based on the official position of the EU countries. Strong anti-Russian campaign was successful. Negative image of Russia was made in Europe by the media very quickly. Some anti-Russian sayings appeared even in Russian-speaking media. In modern time image of the country is one of the key factors in international relations. That is why, all countries prefer to control the key national media for providing national interests and official position in public opinion. We call this strategy the "policy of information security". In our work we shall try to find answers to the following questions: What is "information security" of a country? What can Russia do to protect its information independence? THE ENTRY OF SERBIA INTO THE EUROPEAN UNION: POLITICAL ASPECTS Kovaleva Mariya The faculty of political science Course 3 Nowadays the EU is considered to be a supranational organization that constitutes a single economic and political community of 28 countries. Since European countries began to implement the idea of a common foreign policy, many theories have been developed to identify this process. One view of the European integration suggests that it is formed as a political project that has both federative and confederative elements. There are integration importance community many aspects in European common foreign policy, not the least of which is the of Eastern Europe into the EU. Seen in this light, Serbia seems to have great for the European Union as a country that may become a part of a single European in the future. that easy as it may seem, especially for Serbia. There country should meet. Although economic factors have ones could not be overestimated. Our duty is to real opportunities of Serbia on the way to the EU.

However, the accession to Europe is not are a lot of entrance requirements that this a certain value, the importance of political analyze these factors and thus identify the
