03.12.2014 On October 17-18, 2014 the Faculty of Journalism organized the 6th International Media Readings in Moscow "Mass Media and Communications-2014". The overarching theme of the conference was "Creative Industries in the Reindustrializing World: Media Practices of the West and the East".

The event brought distinguished media researchers and lecturers from over 15 countries to Moscow. Participants from Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, the USA, Australia, China and many other countries all over the world shared the results of their research projects, took part in the discussion on the role and the place of creative industries in the modern world, discussed the influence of digital technologies on the transformation of cultural industries in different countries.

Student-run TV station "Mokhovaya, 9" together with the Office of International Affairs produced videos about the conference, public talk as a pre-conference event and interviews with the Moscow Readings' attendees.
