(Moscow) The paper deals with the cellular automata modeling approach of modeling of the dynamics of plant populations and communities on the base of the concept of discrete descriptions of plant ontogenesis. The models are discussed, which demonstrate the role of random extinction of plants and multiplicity of ontogenic ways for stability of populations of plants. Effects of phytogenic field and different geometry of propagation in dynamics of age and spatial population structures at different external impacts are also discussed.
