The Politics, Economy and Societies in the Enlarged EU
General Program on the State of the EU
The program is mainly addressed to students of social sciences or humanities, but it is also open to other applicants wishing to widen their general knowledge of these subjects.
During one week, ten workshops will alternate with ten general lectures. The lecturers are either lawyers, diplomats, political advisors and journalists specializing in European affairs and International relations or politicians of different nationalities (Austrian, Czech, French, Polish, American, etc:.) A small exam will take place at the end and it will open the possibility to obtain a diploma from the Collegium Minor in Prague.
The subjects of the lectures and workshops aim to provide students with a background knowledge of the state of the EU, the history of integration and on the main issues of the current situation in the context of post-enlargement.
Besides the lectures, a rich program is on the agenda: meetings with Czech personalities and students, exploring the local gastronomy and culture, Prague sightseeing.
Price : 520 Euros for the five first applicants (before 5 April 2006) 580 Euros for the others
The price includes :

handbooks and other materials necessary for the Summer University,

Lunches can be provided for an extra 40 Euros.
Not included in the price :
There are only 30 places available !! : The selection will be based on a CV and a letter of motivation,
