Queen's University (Canada) Part-Time Lecturers Required
The Ba der International Study Centr e at Herstmonceux Castle is owned and operated by Queen's University at Kingston, Canada (www.queensu.ca/bisc). The BISC offers first-year and upper-year university progra mmes in the huma nities and social sciences and professional programmes in commerce and la w, to students from Canada, US, Mexico, Asia , Europe and Australasia. Programmes at the BISC are characterised by small class sizes, a residential environment leading to close interaction between students and faculty, emphasis on the British, European, and inter national contexts, and systematic integration of field studies into the fabric of courses. The BISC is currently preparing staffing lists for the following ter ms: Spring 20 11 (May to mid-June), Summer 2011 (mid-June to mid-July). An advertisement for Fall and Winter 2011/12 will appear in January 2011. Appointments are subject to a satisfactory Criminal Records Bur eau check in the UK or approved police check in your home country. Annual salary in the range of ё25,000 - ё30,000, pro-rated at ё2,500 - ё3,185 per semester course. Courses for which staffing is requir ed include offerings in: Art, Art History, Astronomy, Commer ce, Drama, Economics, English, Geography, History, Intercultural Studies, International Law, International Studies (course proposal needed), Music, Political Studies , Roman History and Archa eology (for further detail, check www. queensu.ca/bisc/).
