Deputy Chairman of Educational Council of the Higher Education Board, Secretary General of the Russian Universities Association, Deputy Chairman of the Academic Council on Physics Education of the Education Ministry o the Russian Federation, member of three Specialised Doctoral Academic Counils of MSU.
Alexander M. Saletsky is the Lomonosov Prize laureate (1998).
He graduated from the Faculty of Physics in 1979.
The range of his scientific interests covers Molecular and Laser Spectroscopy, Structured Molecular Systems, Molecular Electronics, Nanostructures, Physics of Low Dimensions Systems, Luminescence of Molecular and Biological Structures.
He delivers the course of General Physics to the students of the Faculty of Physics (Branches "Mechanics" and "Optics") and the optional course "Optical Methods of Studying Molecular Systems".
He has been a research supervisor to 7 seekers of Candidate Degree.
Alexander Saletsky is the author of more than 350 publications, including 2 monographs and 10 textbooks. He also possesses 10 patents on inventions.
