Igor B. Kotlobovsky

Born: February 26, 1950, Solnechnogorsk, Moscow Region.
Graduated from MSU Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics (1972) and Post-graduate school, majoring in mathematical methods of economic analysis (1977); Candidate of Economics (1979).
Junior Researcher, later promoted to Senior Researcher, Associate Professor, Head of Risk Management and Insurance Department, Faculty of Economics (1996).
His interests include operations research, risk theory, risk management, actuarial mathematics and insurance. He has been delivering courses on Risk Control and Insurance, Actuarial Computations, Actuarial Computations for Life Insurance, Risk Management.
Igor B. Kotlobovsky has been scientific adviser to 9 Candidates of Science.
Having served on MSU United Trade Union Committee in various capacities, Igor B. Kotlobovsky has been its Chairman since 1991; member of RF Trade Union of academics and researchers; President of Eurasian Association of University Trade Unions (1992).
Igor B. Kotlobovsky coordinated the insurance consultation project under the TACIS program in 1995-2001and participated in a number of international projects as an insurance and actuarial expert.
Igor B. Kotlobovsky is a member of the Board of the Russian Guild of Actuaries (Chairman 2002 ? 2007), Secretary of ExecutiveCommittee of the Asia-Pacific Risk and Insurance Association (APRIA). He is an expert on insurance legislation and financial risks for the State Duma Financial Market Committee and for the Interregional Banking Council under the Federal Council of Russia. He has done research for the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry for Economic Development, the Ministry of Finance, the All-Russia Insurance Society, the Ministry of Emergency and Civil Defense and other organizations.
Igor B. Kotlobovsky is a member of the Editorial Board of the Insurance Business magazine.
He has over 60 scientific publications in Russia and abroad, having been a co-author of monographs and the editor of 8 monographs and collections of works.
His awards include The second and firsts degree Order for Service to the Fatherland (2001, 2005), Commemorative medal "850th Anniversary of Moscow" (1997), badge ?For Distinguished Work in Trade Unions?, Lomonosov Prize for Teaching (1999).
