Высоковольтный разряд в атмосфере и излучение

In the work the electrical discharge in the air was explored in the
interval of pressure between 0 and 1 atm. The aim of the work was to registrate the
lighting around the discharge kernel and to clear up its origin.
The installation was constructed which consists of the cylindrical
bell-glass with the electrodes inside. The high-voltage
transformer provides the voltage, necessary for the discharge. The moment of discharge was
taken on a photo.
The effect was found and it was more expressive for pressures, close to atmosphere one.
Some hypotheses about the origin of this lighting is discussed.
