The opinion of the members of the Russian Rectors' Union delegation of the results of the Fourth All-Russian Students' Forum The Vice-president of the Russian Rectors' Union, Chairman of the Council of Rectors of higher educational institutions of the Siberian Federal District and the Novosibirsk region, Rector of Novosibirsk State Technical University N.V. PUSTOVOY: "The participation of the Russian Rectors' Union in this event is of crucia l importance because it is really interesting for us to learn the young people's point of view. We are also interested in the ideas suggested by the students despite the fact that we are occupied with processes of creation and engagement in science in every university. The students-participants of the forum suggested their original, wholesome ideas which each rector had taken as useful "luggage" for implementation in the universities. Young people need support, it is just necessary to look for ways to support good ideas. And in this regard it should be noted that the development of the young people's creation, especially during junior years of study, is hard to be implemented in the context of rectors' liberties. Even within the budget but communica if we take the issues related to participation in conferences and forums, mobility concerning practices- the rectors should have not only offstate-financed resource which would give students the opportunity to te with each other".

Chairman of the Council of Rectors of higher educational institutions of the Khabarovsk territory and Jewish Autonomous Region, Rector of the Pacific National University S.N. IVANCHENKO: "I think that the last forum was a unique platform for the youth dialogue. It brought together representatives of the students from different regions of our country, from different universities and branches of study. Thanks to this the young people not only shared the ideas of their projects, but have become the "agents" of their own scientific schools, bearers of new teaching methods, research innovations. I am convinced that such mutual enrichment shall hereafter give a great impetus to the development of the forum's participants as scientists and professionals.

I also consider the fact that within the forum a frank conversatio n between the students and the universities' rectors took place to be particularly important. It goes without saying that within our universities, we rectors, maintain an active dialogue with the students, it is one of the priorities of our work. But at the foru m the students' position was presented as system-based and organized. Large number of issues of our general agenda were debatable, and it is gratifying to note that in the end we proved to be united in understanding the mutual responsibility, whic h should accompany the development of the students' self-government. I think that during the forum the dialogue between the students and the rectorial corps found some new content, we have reached a new level of mutua l trust. According to the work results it becomes obvious that the majority of issues from providing the wireless Internet to organization of the volunteers' groups can be easily solved in the regular course of work, the administration of universities are ready to meet such students' initiatives. But today the main content of the dialogue between the students and the higher education teaching staff should be the searc h for responses to global challenges to our education, science and technology. Together we should form an image of a new Russia, and in this process, Wi-Fi is only a mechanis m of issue, but its essence is a creative thinking, courage and new solutions". Chairman of the Council of Rectors of higher educational institutions of the Udmurt Republic, Rector of Izhevsk State Technical University B.A. YAKIMOVICH: "I am convinced that the involve ment of students in the practice of selfgovernment favours their managerial competence, development of leadership qualities, impels them to manifest their individuality and, ultimately, it favours the formation of social maturity. In this regard completed students' forum helped the young boys and girls to estimate their potential in an objective manner, outline the points of growth and, which is of great importance, to determine the new vectors of partnership wit h professors and teachers". The Chairman of the Council of Rectors of higher educational institutions of the Voronezh region, Rector of Voronezh State University, D.A. ENDOVITSKY: "The positive thing is that at this forum not only the discussions concerning topical issues have been held. Students and rectors, statesmen and public figures have found the necessary instruments for solving problems, have formulated specific proposals for the President of the Russian Federation and Russian Ministr y

of Education and Science to enhance the role of the students in complex processes of the higher education modernization. As for the nature of interaction and the extent of the students' involvement in various aspects of the university's activity, a lot of things here depend on a proactive position of the students when discussing and realizing the universities development programs, scientific work and in the process of commercialization o f innovative projects, developing the effective forms of cooperation between the business community and the university, the distribution of scholarship fund and the solution of acute proble ms of improve ment of students' hostels."
