A great grief has befallen upon us - pontiff of Russian Land has
passed away. He was a great Person and Teacher, who for decades was the
spiritual core of Russian Orthodox Church, Russian State and all Russian
people.



One's mind cannot comprehend and words cannot express the
imperishable sorrow, for His Holiness' life was a part of life, soul and
heart of every human being.



Earth service of His Holiness was the embodiment of Creation
gospel about "gathering of scattered stones". His main task was
restoration of razed churches, creation of new ones, their spiritual
revival, and rebirth of sacred temple in every soul.



University community will ever keep His Holiness' words and deeds
in introduction of lofty spiritual and moral principles in science and
education, his words about religion's, education's and science's mutual
striving for individual's ennoblement.

Hundreds of revived and new university churches, like St.
Tatiana's Church at Moscow University, are the blessed memory of Moscow
and all-Russia Patriarch Alexi II.

Our hearts will eternally keep his Holy Image as a symbol of True
Faith and Spiritual Purity.
