User Comments:

  • Some users have asked for an ELF version under Linux (currently available only as a.out).
  • Due to the steep decline in the use of Fortran for development of new applications, PRL is being phased out as a commercial product by Object Access as we shift our emphasis to Java. However, PRL 0.8 (unreleased) has merit in being perhaps the only Fortran graphics package in the world capable of producing 3D virtual reality VRML output. Because such capability could potentially be very useful to individuals still using Fortran to create new graphical display applications, we would be amenable to releasing PRL 0.8 under the GPL, and would welcome hearing from anyone interested in volunteering to release and support PRL 0.8 under GPL. We encourage any such individuals to contact us at oa@iah.com.
