DRAFT ANNOUNCEMENT

Conference on "Molecular and Genetic Bases
for Biodiversity Conservation in Mammals"
(Proposed Date: November 2007
26-30)

MAJOR TOPICS:

1. Evolution of intraspecies taxa and population structures of Holarctic
mammals
2. Molecular and genetic variability and phylogeography of Holarctic
mammals
3. Genome databases for rare and endangered mammal species; use of
molecular-genetic methods for conserving rare species and intraspecies taxa
4. Processes of species formation and hybridization

AGENDA: Presented papers and posters

PROCEEDINGS: Up to 5 pages, to be printed in special publication in Russian
and English
(Details will be send in 2-nd circular)

Submission form for proceedings

The proceedings must be given in electronic version as a file in the
format Microsoft Word 98 and at a higher level. The text must be typed
with Times New Roman12 with single interval between lines. The text must
not exceed 10 pages including figures and tables. The format of the page
is A4 with following indents: at the top -2cm, at the bottom -2cm, on the
left-3cm, on the right-1,5cm. The text is given in Russian or English.
Literature classification
The title of the article(in Russian and English, with capital letters, the
tracing "semibold-faced", through the centres).
Initials and the surname of the author (or authors, with commas, capital
letters, through the centres)
The full name of the organization (with capital letters, through the
centres)
E-mail (with capital letters, through the centres)
The text (is typed without rearrangement, with "alignment "along the
width", the names of species and genus must be given with cursive).
Drawings in the format jpeg resolution 300 dpi.

The proceedings are published in the author's original. If the proceedings
don't fit in the topics of the conference they won`t be taken for
publication by the organizing committee. The authors will be informed
beforehand.




PROPOSED DATES & LOCATION: Three days during the period November 26-30,
2007, in Chernogolovka (outside Moscow)

DEADLINES: Register & provide paper title by August 25; send abstract by
September 15

Registration fee-for participants of the conference- US $ 40, for graduate
students- $20, for students-free registration.
It must be paid on arrival, includes conference charges (coffee brakes and
excursions). The author or group of authors may have one copy of the
conference proceedings.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Chernogolovka - scientific center, located in a
forested area 50 km. from Moscow/

Hotel rooms at the Chernogolovka Science Center range from approximately
$37/day single to $16/day triple per person, with 2-person suites available
at $28/day per person and 4-person apartments at $35/day per person. The
booking fee is 25% of the cost of one night's stay.
For college and graduate school participants, rollaway beds can be set up
in rooms to economize even further.

During the symposium bus excursions will be offered to the nearby ancient
Russian cities of Suzdal and Vladimir.
