The authors argues against the ideas of the article "Strategies of curricula creation in sociology at regional universities" by Chernova Z.V. and Shpakovskaya L.L. (Higher School of Economics, St. Petersburg branch), which were published in Journal of Educational Studies (#2, 2011). Zyryanov V.V., Mamedov A.K., Temnova L.V. conclude, that "the danger of such statements is in the fact, that under the brand of the objective empirical study in reality lie speculative (unsubstantiated) conclusions about the fate of the whole educational sociological community".
