Internet Access Through Email
Summary: Most Internet services can be accessed by email.
Just about the only technologies you can't access by email are inherently interactive by nature, such as IRC and MUDs, where you need to participate in real time.
The most common form of Internet access by email is retrieval of web pages by people that don't have direct web access, perhaps because they are not directly connected to the Internet, or they have a very low bandwidth connection.
You can retrieve web pages by emailing a request to the sites described below, where the page "http://www.yahoo.com/" is used as an example, and you should substitute the page you actually wish to retrieve. Fair warning that the reliability of some sites is unpredictable.

Grabpage. Send an email to page@grabpage.com with a subject of:

HTML: http://www.yahoo.com/[/url]
For email programs that can read HTML, and will retain features such as links and forms.
URL: http://www.yahoo.com/[/url]
