The topic "English at our faculty. Exam and the level of education as a whole" has just fucked me up. To my deep regret there's no any subject at all. The only thing you should do to pass the exam is to participate almost every lesson in the 6th term.

"Our faculty" isn't a good name for the Physical department of Lomonosov's MSU =)

Department always seemed to me to be the name for the structure one step less than faculty. For example Nuclear Physics department or Solid State Department.

I usually write "Sub-department of Quantum Statistics and Field Theory, Department of Physics"...

Regarding to Lingvo faculty corresponds to факультет, while sub-faculty corresponds to кафедра, as Oleg has already written.

The correct word is "department" and there is no need to argue.
As to me I never use any kind of dictionaries. So my francais is poor (aussi is an example of that fact).

Oui, francais rulez... But its learning at our Department of Physics began not so long ago, and I've got a big HALYAVA in it, passing the exam together with English. English is a big halyava too, I've even forgot it a little since my schooltime... to hold the necessary level of knowlege, we must practice ourselves.

As far aI know Finnish isn't an exotic language. My aunt speaks English, Finnish and Norvegian perfectly. They are quite easy to learn.

Girls, u know... (they are always watching me - - I can say in oldgame style ).. Well, simply I fell in love with the polish girl here in Moscow four years ago... She'd been studying russian literature and kinda other close thingies in Pushkin's Institute of Russian Language... The stuff had been running pretty smooth, so we'd decided to get it on in Poland... Well, I spent there about a month in 3rd term... For that reason I can speak Polish good enough right now... But as the time passes, my knowledge is getting worse day-to-day...

Why not mail her? At least u get written language practice. U may also have some fun in the meantime.
