Several MSc/PhD positions are now open for the qualified students who will be working in the area of near-field THz imaging. These positions are supported for at least three years by the national strategic grant. This is a multidisciplinary collaboration between two research groups specializing in THz spectroscopy, and in the synthesis of semiconductor materials for THz generation. Within the project we will develop a novel THz camera that will be capable of near-field imaging, subwavelength resolution and fully vectorial field measurements with very high signal to noise ratio. Among other applications the camera will be used for the THz metamaterials research, as well as for industrial quality control of various important products.

Our facilities feature several ultra fast laser systems for THz spectroscopy and imaging, nanofabrication facility for the THz antenna design, as well as facilities for semiconductor material growth. Additionally, several fiber optical drawing towers are available to us for the fabrication of plastic and glass-based microstructured fibers for research in THz fiber optics.

Working languages: English, French, Russian.
