Gritsina M.A., Nuridjanov D.A., Abduraupov T.V. 2013. Some new findings of bats in Uzbekistan. ­ Plecotus et al. 15-16: 44­52. Results of field surveys of bats conducted in different seasons of 2006­2008, 2012 and early 2013 in Uzbekistan (Fig. 1). Bat sampling was carried out in Tashkent, Samarkand, Navoi, Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions. All captured bats were weighed and photographed. Their external measurements were taken as well. Ectoparasites were collected from some specimens. After examination the bats were released at the capture point with exception for one specimen of each species that were sacrificed for genetic study. An overview of the found bat species is given based on our own and published data and materials of theriological collections of National University of Uzbekistan and Biological Faculty of the Samarkand State University of A. Navoi. The paper presents new information on seven species of bats (Rhinolophus ferrumequinum, Rhinolophus bocharicus, Myotis blythii , Plecotus sp., Pipistrellus pipistrellus, Vespertilio murinus, Eptesicus bottae), including information on new, not previously described habitat locations.
