Kruskop S.V., Shubina J.E. 2013. Materials to the bat fauna (Chiroptera, Vespertilionidae) of Lipetsk region. ­ Plecotus et al. 15-16: 27­37. In European part of Russia, Lipetsk region until recently was one of the regions least studied in connection to bats. In 2012­2013 we had a brief preliminary study to partially fill this gap and provide a basis for further systematic study of local bat fauna. Ten localities in seven districts of the region and also city of Lipetsk were surveyed. Individuals of se ven species were captured and exami ned in hands. The most numer ous and widespread species proved to be Pipistrellus nathusii and Myotis daubentonii. P. pygmaeus, Nyctalus noctula, M. dasycneme are noticeably inferior to them, though relatively common as well. Taking into account published data, the bat fauna of the region tentatively includes eleven species and the presence of three other species of bats (M. nattereri, M. mystacinus, N. lasiopterus) can be assumed with a high probability.
