Hitherto, only Phoracantha semipunctata (Fabricius, 1775) has been reported in Turkey [Demelt, 1967; Erdem & Çanakçýoðlu, 1977; Adlbauer, 1992; Sama & Rapuzzi, 2000; Tozlu et al., 2002; Hoskovec & Rejzek, 2002]. In adition to this, one specimen of Phoracantha recurva was collected from Turkish province Mersin (36œ 48' N 34œ 38' E). This is the first record for the fauna of Turkey. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. We wish to thank Dr. Gianfranco Sama and Dr. Mikhail L. Danilevsky for identification of Parmena mutilloides.

striatopunctata Sama, 1994 were described from Turkey. One specimen of Parmena mutilloides was collected from Turkish province Isparta (37œ 46' N 30œ 33' E ). This is the first record for Isparta province, because only two records of P. mutilloides from type locality Konya (Beyþehir) and Antalya (Perge) were known. A short description of Parmena mutilloides. Total body length 8.3 mm, total body width 3.3 mm. Pronotal length 2.3 mm, pronotal width 2.5 mm, elytral length 5 mm. Body dark brown with sparse ground pubescence. Elytra with 2 undulating transversal stripes of white pubescence. Elytra besides the ground pebescence with large setae. Some of the elytral setae long and erect, the others shorter, semi-erect and bent towards the back. Antennae of medium length. DISTRIBUTION. Turkey [Sabbadini & Pesarini, 1992; Sama, 1994ab, 1996]. MATERIAL: Turkey: Antalya, Kaþ, Kemer, 400 m, 20.06.1999, Leg. Abdullah Hasbenli. The specimen is deposited in Zoological Museum of Gazi University (ZMGU) (Museum No: 13030).

Until now, 6 species of genus Coptosia: C. albovittigera (Heyden, 1863), C. bithynensis Ganglbauer, 1884, C. compacta (Ménétriés, 1832), C. ganglbaueri (Pic, 1936), C. rubrobrunnea (Heyden, 1894) and C. minuta (Pic, 1891) have been reported in Turkey [Bodemeyer, 1906; Adlbauer, 1992; Lodos, 1998; Sama & Rapuzzi, 2000; Rejzek et al., 2001; Tozlu et al., 2002; Hoskovec & Rejzek, 2004]. Besides, one specimen of Coptosia sancta was collected from Turkish province Antalya (36œ 53' N 30œ 42' E ). This is the first record for the fauna of Turkey. A short description of Coptosia sancta. Total body length 13.4 mm, total body width 4.25 mm; pronotal length 2.3 mm, pronotal width 2.9 mm; elytral length 9.5 mm. Body predominantly black with distinctly recumbent, short pubescence. Pronotum with 3 white longitudinal stripes. Each elytron with a few white longitudinal stripes. One of them extend along the suture. Antennae of medium length. DISTRIBUTION: Syria [Hoskovec & Rejzek, 2004].
